How it works
- This offer is valid only on air tickets available on online channels of any domestic/international airline and other Online Travel Agent (OTA).
- Consumer buys domestic (within India) /international flight (originating from India) tickets from MakeMyTrip.
- In case he finds out (by 11 pm same day on which the booking is made) that he could have got same ticket for less from any other OTA or Supplier Direct site, he sends back a mail to MakeMyTrip with screen shot from Airline/OTA and MakeMyTrip, showing the difference to service@makemytrip.com (for domestic Flights) or to Internationalbookings@makemytrip.com (for International Bookings). He will need to download a form and mail it back to MakeMyTrip.
- MakeMyTrip shall verify the claim within 2 working days and revert on validity of the claim.
- MakeMyTrip decision on the verification shall be final and binding.
- On verification of claim, MakeMyTrip pays double the difference of the fare to the consumer.
Terms & Conditions
- This offer is valid from 1st Nov, 2012 till 30th Jun 2013.
- Consumer needs to book the domestic (within India) /international flight (originating from India) ticket at www.makemytrip.com to be eligible for this offer.
- Lowest Price Challenge is valid only for any other "online" source for exactly the same airline, flight(s), travel date(s), and travel itinerary for the same number of passenger(s).
- Fares must be in exactly the same cabin(s)/class (First, Business, and Economy) and carry exactly the same fare rules and restrictions as that of http://www.makemytrip.com. (like refundable and non-refundable Class).
- Customer must claim the Lowest Price Challenge by writing to MakeMyTrip on the same day on which the booking is made if they find that the airfare on www.makemytrip.com is higher than any other airlines and OTAs under the conditions aforesaid.
- The lowest price shall not include any service charge, convenience fee and any other miscellaneous charges as may be chargeable by MakeMyTrip, any other airline or OTA.
- The screenshot submitted of the lower fare must be of the final fare inclusive of taxes and surcharges before making the actual payment. The screenshot cannot be of the listing or search page.
- Lowest Price Challenge claims validation mode will be only via emails and not telephonically.
- This offer is not applicable on flight + hotel bookings, holiday packages with flight component or any combination of flight with any other product or service.
- Offer will not be valid in case prices of air tickets have gone down including fares on MakeMyTrip Website
- Upon verification of the claim, the amount of the difference in fare would be processed with 14 working days.
- Fare difference refund will be processed in the same credit card/debit card/net banking account through which the payment is made.
- Offer is valid if the person challenging the amount is same as person who made the bookings.
- The Lowest Price Challenge does not apply to unpublished fares that are not available to the general public and fares that cannot be purchased on www.MakeMyTrip.com (airlines that we are not offering). Fares not available to the general public include, but are not limited to special deals for corporate/companies, military, government, wholesaler, consolidator, opaque agencies and other discount fares. The Lowest Price Challenge does not apply to package fares, such as airfares sold as part of a travel package, nor does it apply to airfares on another website that have been reduced as a result of promotional discounts such as discount coupons, loyalty program discounts or fly free offers.
- If a customer cancels the ticket after availing the fare difference amount, MakeMyTrip will refund booking amount minus the cancellation charges and fare difference amount which was paid to the customer under this offer.
- This offer will not be will not be applicable on bookings that will be rescheduled, cancelled or refunded.
- If customer cancels the booking before the fare difference amount is paid to the customer, MakeMyTrip will refund booking amount minus the cancellation charges but customer will not be entitled to claim the fare difference amount in any manner whatsoever.
- This offer is not applicable to Travel Agents by profession and they cannot claim the fare difference under this offer and MakeMyTrip is entitled to recover the cashback if it comes to know that the offer is availed by a travel agent.
- Disputes, if any, arising out of or in connection with or as a result of above offers or otherwise relating hereto shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts/tribunals in Delhi only, irrespective of whether courts/tribunals in other areas have concurrent or similar jurisdiction.
- Customer/participant acknowledges that MakeMyTrip is the sole authority of conducting the contest and shall not dispute the outcome of the contest. The decision of MakeMyTrip shall be final and binding.
- In addition to the above, MakeMyTrip user terms on www.makemytrip.com shall be applicable.
- The maximum liability of MakeMyTrip in the event of any claim arising out of this offer shall not exceed the fare difference amount the customer is entitled to under this offer. MakeMyTrip cannot be held liable for any act and omission attributable to force majeure events.
- MakeMyTrip shall not be liable to for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the offer.
- MakeMyTrip reserves the right to withdraw, amend, modify, or terminate this offer anytime without notice or liability.
